Solving the Advertising Compliance Puzzle…

TREC rules 535.134 were expanded to further clarify the advertising rules and regulations; however, that’s only one piece of the puzzle. REALTOR® members need to also comply with the Code of Ethics of NAR specifically Article 12 and Article 1. If you are a member of the MLS, there are add-on rules, and then there is the issue of copyright of photos and the trademark rules of NAR. We’ll take all of the ‘pieces’ and put it together for you to understand it as a big picture. The last hour of class is spent helping you get all of YOUR personal advertising in compliance: email signatures, text signatures, social media sites, websites, business cards, etc. Bring the list of wherever you currently advertise on the Internet and your electronic devices for a full day of compliance!

Negotiating the Transaction in a Volatile Real Estate Market

From the time you talk to the seller about listing the house you immediately have to think about negotiating the sale. Do you do a “Coming Soon?” How far do you go in the marketing to other agents/internet/existing buyers? The buyers need to know this is NOT last year’s market! How are they going to be the best prepared for fast decision making? Then comes the multiple offer situation.  Both TREC rules and the Code of Ethics are clear on how that can be done. As hard as it is to follow the sequence of events, stay compliant and satisfy the parties…it can be done. Come find out how!!
