Changes are coming to the real estate industry, and HAR aims to give our members and consumers the facts about the potential impacts of the NAR settlement (which has received preliminary approval). This is why we have launched the Reality of Real Estate campaign on HAR.com. It’s dedicated to providing accurate information about the potential impacts of the settlement for home buyers, sellers and agents. Here, you can take a closer look at the campaign as well as customizable assets HAR has created for REALTORS®.

With all the looming changes in the industry, it’s more important than ever for us to continue to build on our relationships with our elected leaders. That is why REALTORS® from across the country, including myself, are traveling to Washington D.C. to meet with members of Congress as part of the NAR REALTOR® Legislative Meetings. I look forward to meeting with our Congressional delegation to discuss priority issues, such as housing affordability. You may read more about the priority issues here.

Speaking of elected leaders, I highly encourage you to apply to run for the 2025 HAR Board of Directors. Beginning on May 9, candidates may apply to run for the board. You may find all the information about the application process here. HAR is one of the only associations in the country that has open elections where our members vote and select who they want to lead the association.
