Tuesday, November 4th was Election Day in Texas. There were 17 statewide constitutional amendments on the ballot and many local races throughout the Greater Houston Area. All 17 statewide constitutional amendments were passed, including the nine that were supported by Texas REALTORS®. HAR had recommended candidates in the City of Houston, Missouri City and the Woodlands Township. Here are the results of each of the HAR Recommended Candidates in contested races:
The Houston City Council Special Election runoff will be on December 13, with early voting running from December 1 through 9. In other news, Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee and former Houston City Council Member Amanda Edwards will advance to a runoff in the special election for Texas’s 18th Congressional District. That election will likely be held in January or February, but a date has not been set yet. After the runoffs, next on the election calendar will be the March 3, 2026, Primary Election.
