Allen Hebert

HAR extends condolences to family, friends and colleagues of longtime member Allen “Al” Hebert, who died on February 25, 2023 at age 83.

Allen Joseph Hebert was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and raised in Cameron, Louisiana, where he played football for Creole High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at 17 and committed the next 20 years in proud service to his country, including a tour of duty in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. Al brought the love of his life, Norma, and their three children along for this grand adventure.

After retiring from the military, Al worked in human resources in the oil and gas industry. Upon his second retirement, he entered the real estate profession to enjoy more success with his son, Allen Keith Hebert.

Al leaves behind his wife, Norma Broussard Hebert of Humble, Texas; one son, Allen Keith Hebert of Humble, Texas; two daughters, Cheryl Gale Sweigart and husband Paul of Middletown, Pennsylvania, Donna Hebert Acosta and husband Matthew of Kingwood, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Presley Hebert and wife Cathy of Winnie, Texas; and one stepsister of the Authement family; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is loved by each and every one of them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Hebert and Lena Richard Authement; and four brothers, LJ Hebert, Preston Hebert, Virgie Hebert and Alvin “Pookie” Hebert and stepsisters of the Authement family.

Funeral services were held on March 7, 2023 at the Holy Family Chapel of St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Porter, Texas. Al was buried at Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery in Cameron, Louisiana.

Karla Kay Wolff

HAR extends condolences to family, friends and colleagues of HAR member Karla Kay Wolff, 84, who died on March 3, 2023 in Cumming, Georgia. Karla served the Conroe real estate market for more than four decades.

Karla was born on May 18, 1938 in Rowena, Texas to Carl Feist and Jo Dorothy (Schiller) Feist. She graduated from Wall High School in 1956 where she was salutatorian. She was active in sports and played on the girls’ basketball team. Karla graduated from San Angelo College in 1958 and interned at Shannon Hospital to become a Certified Laboratory Technician.

After marriage, Karla lived in Austin and then Irving for several years before moving to Conroe, where she was a REALTOR® for more than 40 years. She worked at Buford Realty and, later, Coldwell Banker where she was involved in food drives and hosting events with Santa for the kids. Karla volunteered at the Conroe Police Department for many years. In 2017, she retired and her daughters moved her to Cumming, GA to be with them. She loved gardening, birds, sewing, traveling and football – especially the Dallas Cowboys.

Karla is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy L. Landes and Robin R. Fuller; grandchildren, Austin B. Little and his wife Leslie; Sister, Candyce (Candy) Monsour and her husband Larry.
