Patrick William Welsh (1950-2025)
HAR extends condolences to family, friends and colleagues of longtime real estate professional Patrick William “Pat” Welsh, 74, who died on June 20, 2025.
Born on July 27, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa, Patrick made his mark in Houston, Texas, where he spent his later years touching the lives of many with his generosity and humor.
A proud Irish-American, Patrick had a knack for storytelling that was as sharp as his wit. He was a master at both telling jokes and appreciating them, bringing laughter into every room he entered. Pat never met a stranger. He shared his love for strategy games, especially card games, with his friends and family, passing down this passion to his children, Sean and Katie.
An alumnus of Archbishop Rummel High School, class of 1968, Patrick was a dedicated salesman in his early career. His later professional life was marked by his commitment to giving back, as evidenced by his receipt of the Keller Williams Legacy Award for his selfless service to clients, colleagues, and community.
Patrick’s dedication to helping others extended beyond his professional life. He taught English as a second language, volunteered at the Brookwood Community, and worked with Kids Meals Inc. During the holidays, he delighted in playing Santa Claus at events, spreading joy and cheer to children and adults alike.
Patrick shared his life with his beloved wife, Eileen, whom he married in August of 1995, and together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, business, and a shared love of sports.
Funeral services were held on July 2, 2025 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home.
