On April 3, HAR TREPAC hosted the second annual Major Investor Dinner at Tony’s Restaurant.  This VIP reception is not only an appreciation event, but also a fundraiser, as guests are encouraged to bring a new Major Investor  with them under the “Be One, Bring One” concept developed last year to increase awareness of TREPAC.

Attendees had the opportunity to network with special guests like local elected officials, including Harris County Judge Ed Emmett; Harris County Commissioners Jack Cagle and Steve Radack; Houston City Council Members Jerry Davis, Larry Green, Dwight Boykins, Richard Nguyen, Michael Kubosh, Oliver Pennington, Mike Laster, Ellen Cohen, Dave Martin and David Robinson; Kippy Caraway with the City of Houston and Chief Justice for the First Court of Appeals Sherry Radack.

The peer-to-peer conversations truly make a difference in the HAR political process, and this year the dinner raised more than $62,000 with 36 new Sterling R ($1,000) investors in attendance, three new President’s Circle Members and the exciting announcement of two returning Platinum R Investors ($10,000):  Mike Huff of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services – Anderson Properties and Mark Willis of Keller Williams Realty Metropolitan!

Thank you to the leadership of 2014 HAR TREPAC Chair Jo Ann Stevens and HAR TREPAC Trustee and RPAC Major Investor Council Member Vicki Fullerton for making this such a goal for HAR.  Also, thanks to the HAR 2014 TREPAC Advisory Group for reaching out your networks and making the ask – spreading the word on the value of being involved in TREPAC makes all the difference.
