Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program
Application Deadline is MARCH 15

Due to its overwhelming success, the Houston Association of REALTORS® will once again offer the TRLP (Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program). This eight month program has been created specifically for those who wish to further themselves as a leader both personally and professionally.

Participants will learn about their communication skills, how to lead a team and work within a team, understand multi-cultures, and how to grow their real estate business while learning about their community, government, and business partners.

The Leadership Program offers participants the opportunity to meet other motivated leaders and to share intensive learning experience that focuses on community issues and leadership skills. The purpose of the leadership program is to prepare the next generation of REALTORS® to meet future challenges. The program provides participants with lectures, seminars, guest speakers, group discussions and leadership exercises that address vital issues affecting REALTORS®.

To graduate from the Leadership Program, REALTORS® are expected to attend ALL full-day sessions. (Dates are tentative and will be confirmed before program begins.)

  • Session 3 – June 13, 2013 Time Management, Balance and Renewal

  • Session 6 – August 29, 2013 Spokes Person Training
  • Session 7 – September 19, 2013 Law, Legislature and Leadership (One Day Austin Bus Trip)
  • Session 8 – October 17, 2013 H-Town Day
  • Session 9 – November 1, 2013 Graduation, Evaluation & Feedback

Are you interested in being part of the Leadership Program offered at the Houston Association of REALTORS®?

The cost of the program is $549 and participation is limited. You must fill out an application which is available by contacting the HAR Professional Development Department at (713) 629-1900 ext. 263. Applications must be received by Friday, March 15, 2013. All applications will be reviewed by the Leadership Selection Task Force for approval. Applications are available by request or online at www.har.com/membertraining and then selecting the Leadership Program Details tab.

GRI

 

The GRI designation is the most widely recognized of the National Real Estate Designations. Consisting of three course, each taught by experts in their respective fields. These topics include: Finance, Marketing and Brokerage. This is a great program for new members seeking SAE credit.

GRI 2: Marketing

Investment for each GRI Segment: $295 for HAR Members and $325 for Non-Members

SMP

Earn Your Social Media Pro Designation with this 2-Day Intense SMP Boot Camp!

This two day program will take you through all of the most popular and widely used social networking platforms while explaining how to use them in your business. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogging, Smart Phones, Tablets, Video, and advanced use of these tools will be covered throughout the session. A voluntary follow-up webinar is included in this program.

The mandatory Broker Responsibility Course is now being offered at all HAR locations!

The cost for this 6 hour program is only $50 and will satisfy the TREC broker responsibility course requirement.

The CIPS Institute is a five day session consisting of five classes:

  • The Local Markets – This course is an analysis of the international real estate business environment, including capital flow, currencies, government regulations, and cultures. The practical aspects of international brokerage, networking, marketing and selling are discussed.
  • Europe and International Real Estate – Covers the logistics of how to conduct real estate transactions with clients from the European Countries.
  • The Americas and International Real Estate – Practical information for professionals who work with Caribbean, North, Central and South American investors. Historical and cultural influences, regional relationship and investment opportunities are covered along with a special focus on Mexico.
  • Asia/Pacific and International Real Estate – Covers the real estate practices for Asia and the Pacific. Emphasis is placed on culture influences, economic trends and assessing investment opportunities. A special chapter on working with the Japanese is included.
  • Transaction Tools – Provides the tools needed to present investment information to international clients – in their currency and area. You will learn how to measure investment performance, prepare financial projections, and understand the effects of taxes and exchange rates on investments.
