Montgomery County voters have approved a $480 million road bond, the first of its kind in a decade, aimed at tackling traffic congestion and preparing for the region’s rapid growth.

The bond will fund 76 road projects across all four precincts, with each receiving $120 million for improvements. Key plans include widening Kuykendahl Road and upgrading critical connectors like Woodlands Parkway and Sorters Road.

County leaders emphasized that the bond will not raise property taxes, thanks to responsible financial planning and the retirement of older debt.

With the population projected to top 720,000 by 2032, this bond lays the groundwork for safer, faster, and more efficient travel across Montgomery County. HAR was proud to support this bond and invest in our future!
