This course is a ground breaking professional education initiative designed to provide America’s real estate professionals with training and tools to expand their business as well as home ownership opportunities for more Americans. Participants will learn about the people who make up the local market, their values, customs, real estate needs, and expectations of real estate professionals. Specifically, the course helps participants develop skills in cross-cultural communication and strategic business planning.

*There will be a 30 minute lunch from 12:30pm-1pm. Receive 8 hours of CE credits.

July 15: How to work with clients from Mexico

Learn what you need to know and do to work with clients from Mexico that are interested in buying properties in Texas. August 12: How to work with clients from Canada

Find out why Canadians love buying property in the United States and specifically, in Texas. They spent over $240, 000,000 on real estate in the Lone Star state in 2018. Hear Brian Rushton, EVP of Century 21 Canada, as he explains how it is both different and the same to purchase a home here vs. Canada. A recent homebuyer in the states, Brian can share his experiences first hand about how he found his agent, and what he thought of the home buying process, as well as what Canadians expect from their agent and what type of home they are looking for in Texas.

International Day 2020

The HAR International Advisory Group is offering International Day which focuses on in depth topics globally minded REALTORS® need to know. Subjects in prior years have included: immigration laws, funding an inbound global transaction, case studies on working with clients from other countries, and analysis of the Texas Foreign Homebuyers report published annually by TAR. CIPS The Institute

October 26-30 | EARN YOUR CIPS DESIGNATION

In addition to completing 5 CIPS courses you must submit a CIPS designation application demonstrating your experience in global real estate. This application requires that you earn 100 points in elective credits. Elective credits can be earned by speaking other languages, possessing additional NAR designations, attending international conferences and education sessions, and international transactions.

Applications are accepted throughout the year; a one-time only processing fee of US$75, along with prorated dues are required when you submit your designation application. Once approved, you must maintain your designation by paying dues annually. Annual CIPS designation dues are US$220.

It is a five day course focusing on one specific topic each day. You may register for the entire institute or one day at a time. 

Receive 40 hours of CE credits and earn the CIPS designation. Visit the NAR Global site beforehand to learn the qualifications and any fees that may apply.
