It’s no April Fool’s joke. The annual HAR Engage conference will be September 24 this year, a full month earlier than in years past. The newly appointed 2020 HAR Engage Advisory Group, co-chaired by Rooy Eapen and Michica Guillory, met in February to review last year’s event and discuss how to make the 2020 version an even bigger success.  Advisory group members said that they want to offer several education tracks with themes such as technology, legal issues and building your business. Session ideas discussed included achieving brand success by integrating technological planning and social strategies to attract potential clients, legal tax coaching, a top producer panel, how to find the right coach for you, how to be your own CEO and how to identify and work with the new generation: millennials.  The idea of having a buffet lunch served in the theatre adjacent to the Norris Conference Center to allow for 2 or 3 more sessions in the Red Oak Ballroom was discussed and is currently being investigated. Several headliners have already been secured for the conference, and include Chris Smith of Curaytor, Katie Kossev, an Inman Connect and HAR Engage favorite presenter, and HAR immediate past board of directors’ member, along with Nick “Tiger” Quay of Miami, who will discuss climate change and how it will affect real estate in general and specifically your clients’ purchasing habits.  Since the conference is a month earlier than usual, save the date and plan to attend.  It sold out last year 10 days in advance, so we want to make sure you purchase your ticket sooner than later. Visit www.har.com/engage to register at a substantial savings. Tickets go on sale May 1 for $129 through June 15 and increase in price June 16.  Attendees are eligible to receive six hours of continuing education credits and lunch, a coffee station, great networking, and free parking on the roof, (first come first served), are also included.
