Fourth-generation Houstonian Ed Wolff grew up watching his mother, Beth Wolff, build a respected residential real estate business. So it was natural that after college at Louisiana State University, Ed joined the family firm. Today, Beth Wolff REALTORS® is respected as one of Texas’ most successful mother-son endeavors.

Not only is Ed president of the company. He is also active in the real estate community. Ed has served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) and the Texas Association of REALTORS®.  As a director and spokesperson for the American Chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), he promoted his hometown and the U.S. to countries around the world bringing the World Congress of FIABCI to Houston in 2004. He has earned the professional designation of Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) and is often called upon to share his expertise through talks at real estate seminars and meetings throughout the world.

Whether it’s new construction, townhouses or luxury homes, Ed enjoys assisting buyers and sellers throughout Houston. “I try to always put the needs of the client first and treat all parties in the transaction fairly and with respect,” says Ed. “We work with people that are typically experiencing life changing events at the same time they are making decisions about the largest investment most will make in their lives. It is vital that we listen to our clients and understand the needs and issues of all parties in the transaction.”

Ed currently serves as the incoming Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee (TREPAC) chair and is actively involved with HAR’s Governmental Affairs team.

“I really enjoy supporting REALTOR® issues and helping protect the private property rights of Texans,” says Ed. “As REALTORS®, we make a huge difference in the lives of every citizen across the state, and that is unbelievably satisfying.”

Ed was recipient of HAR’s 2008 John E. Wolf Citizenship Cup Award.  Active in the LSU Alumni Association, he was recently recognized by the Houston Business Journal with its “40 Under 40” award presented to Houston’s top 40 young leaders under the age of 40 who excel in their industries, are respected business leaders and show dynamic leadership in their community.

Each year, HAR honors a member that most embodies the dedication and professionalism that are emblematic of today’s REALTOR®. In 2010, Ed Wolff is most deserving to be so honored. Congratulations, Ed, the 2010 HAR REALTOR® of the Year.
