HAR Chair Cathy Treviño was featured in KTRK-TV/ABC 13 reporter Courtney Carpenter’s story about a surge in home rentals resulting from persistent economic headwinds. Cathy explained that conditions are beginning to improve for consumers who have been patiently waiting for more favorable conditions to purchase a home. The story aired on February 28.

On March 1, Houston Agent Magazine, among multiple media outlets tapping into HAR’s expanded suite of market reports, published HAR’s February FRESH, which reported positive readings across the board, including a 17 percent jump in new listings.

The Houston Chronicle cited HAR market reporting in its March 5 story that the home at 100 Carnarvon was back on the market and, with a listing price of $36M, was Houston’s most expensive property listing.

Houston Chronicle real estate reporters Marissa Luck and R.A. Schuetz cited HAR MLS market data in their March 8 “Looped In” podcast as they discussed the outlook for Houston housing in 2023.

Throughout the second week of March, RISMedia, Inman News, Houston Agent Magazine and other media outlets reported on HAR Immediate Past Chair Jennifer Wauhob’s prestigious appointment as NAR’S 2023 vice president of Association Affairs.
