Registration is now underway for the Houston Association of REALTORS®’ biggest real estate and technology conference of the year: The BIG e! This all-day member event is coming up on Thursday, October 25, at the Norris Conference Center – CityCentre.  In true HAR fashion, The BIG e promises to Educate, Enlighten and Empower our members to become leaders and innovators in the real estate industry. For more information about The BIG e and to register, please visit www.har.com/thebige.

Curious as to how The BIG e got started? Last year, HAR decided to retire its largest member event, REALTOR® Expo, in order to bring its members a more Education-focused event that would benefit any member who is serious about advancing his or her career. HAR took nationally renowned speakers and leaders in the real estate industry, most of whom our members do not have the opportunity to see, and brought them to Houston. The BIG e caught on like wildfire and sold out before the conference even began.

Taking into consideration feedback from last year’s event, 2012 looks to be nothing less than Exceptional! We have streamlined registration, included longer breaks for room changes and networking, created a more aligned schedule and added the HAR Genius Bar & Member Lounge to offer one-on-one time with speakers and HAR staff.

Now let’s not forget about the Exciting lineup of speakers that we have in store for you. This year’s program includes speakers such as Chris Smith with Inman News, Event Catalyst Thom Singer, Curt Beardsley with REALTOR.com, and a fan favorite from last year, motivational coach Tom Ferry.

The BIG e 2012 will have more than 20 Education sessions, ranging from 45-minute keynote sessions in the Red Oak Ballroom; to 20-minute lab sessions in the Live Oak Room, jammed packed with information; to 45-minute workshop sessions in the Magnolia Room that focus on attendees working together and being actively involved in the class. Anyone who purchases a ticket, whether it is the General Admission eAgent Pass, or the upgraded VIProducer Pass with all the perks, can attend all sessions, receive MCE credit opportunities and attend the after-hours networking reception.

What is the difference between an eAgent Pass and a VIProducer Pass? The VIProducer Pass is the pass for an Elite group of attendees seeking extra value from the conference. It allows attendees to not only bypass the registration lines, but also gives them access to a one-of-a-kind special engagement luncheon with a leading keynote speaker and upfront seating in the Red Oak Ballroom.

If you missed out on last year’s event, attending this year’s program should be a top priority! Take control of your future in the real estate industry and register TODAY at  www.har.com/thebige.
