It is not too late to register for the South Texas College of Law’s 14th annual Commercial Real Estate Course scheduled for Thursday and Friday, October 6-7, at the downtown campus, 1303 San Jacinto.  The two-day course offers a wide variety of programs and expert speakers covering all facets of commercial real estate, including changes for the real estate industry due to the most recent Texas legislative session and the 2010 census. The programs provide attendees with 15 MCE credit hours and practical tips and tools to ensure ethical and successful negotiations.

New this year is the “Rising Star” panel, which will introduce attendees to several of Houston’s most successful brokers all under the age of 35 who will discuss their generation’s view of the real estate industry. And returning expert Dr. Mark G. Dotzour from the Texas Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University will talk about what economic changes we can expect in 2012.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to hear from several key community leaders throughout the course, including one of Texas’ preeminent real estate icons, Welcome Wilson, Sr.

Members of Commercial Gateway receive a discounted registration since the course is sponsored in part by the Commercial Division of the Houston Association of REALTORS®. Attendees can also enjoy a Commercial Gateway-sponsored reception immediately following the last seminar on Thursday in the lobby of the building.

Conducted in conjunction with the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University, the Commercial Real Estate Course provides 15 MCE hours required by TREC as well as TREC-mandated legal and ethics courses. The course is also accredited by the State Bar of Texas for 15.25 MCLE hours, including 3.0 hours of legal ethics.
