HAR, in a continued effort to provide value to its members, is making available two new, advanced real estate search platforms at no additional cost to its members. Move, Inc. is providing a new real estate search platform called FIND and Corelogic Marketlinx is offering an alternative search platform named MLS Data Co-op. Both of these systems are exclusively available only to broker-members and their agents of subscribing MLSs throughout the United States. However, only HAR members will see confirmed sales prices for the Houston area, other areas of the country will see a sales price range on listings provided by HAR. HAR members will access these systems after logging into the HAR.com members only portal and will not be required to provide an additional login. Both platforms can be accessed from multiple browser types including Safari, Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer.

FIND
The initial release includes all HAR active listings as well as all listings currently found on Realtor.com.  A later release will make available HAR sold data and off-market listings for HAR members and a sold price range for HAR listings will be displayed for Realtor® users in other markets. The FIND search engine offers diverse data sets including local school reports and reviews, demographics, mapping, enhanced public records, detailed neighborhood information, and psychographic community data. In addition, FIND provides access to all active listings nationwide, and additional status information including sold, off market, and pending sales from other MLSs using the FIND application – all accessed through an intuitive, “natural-language” search experience.

FIND utilizes a “natural language” search interface making it similar to searching on Google (Ex: 3 bed 2 bath $350k-$450k 77008) and it identifies word structures, even when the spelling is dissimilar (i.e., in-ground vs. in ground) and varied real estate terms (i.e., duplex vs. Gemini Home), and automatically modifies the query and links users to the results without sending them back to the beginning of the search process.

MLS Data Co-op
Similar to FIND, the MLS Data Co-op allows members to search MLS listings and tax information from within a single, map based platform and includes public records data, school and local demographic information. Initially, HAR members will have access to HAR listings only, both active and sold, however, the platform has been developed to facilitate access between multiple MLS organizations who have agreed to share MLS data and participate in the MLS Data Co-op. HAR will be pursuing arrangements with other participating MLSs throughout 2011.
