MLS Rule 2 – Appointments for Showing: The fine for showing a property without a confirmed appointment, when the listing indicates “Appointment Required,” has been raised from $100 to $250.
MLS Rule 13 – Use of MLS Information in Advertising: The fine for not including the listing firm name when displaying listing information in an advertisement has been raised from $100 to $300 per listing display. If you are mailing flyers that include homes that have been recently Sold or Listed in a neighborhood, you must include the Listing Firm’s name with the listing information.
V. CHARGES FOR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH RULES BY SUBSCRIBERS AND PARTICIPANTS
a. Charges for initial rules violation:
14. For failure to comply with Rule 2 (showing without appointment) there shall automatically be a charge of $100.00 for each violation. $250. For subsequent violations of Rule 2 within a 12 month period there shall automatically be a charge of $1,000.
16. For failure to comply with Rule 13 (advertising another broker’s listing) there shall automatically be a charge of $300 per property with a maximum of $900 per advertising piece
