bob_innovatorHAR President and CEO Bob Hale is probably recognized as the preeminent Association/MLS executive more than any other in the country. That has continued with his recent inclusion on the Swanepoel Power 200 list and Inman Real Estate Influencers 2017.

The Swanepoel Power 200 is the definitive ranking of residential real estate’s top leaders produced and published annually by the Swanepoel T3 Group. They invest more than 600 hours of research, hold countless internal debates, perform a deep analysis of numbers and organizational charts, and sincerely reckon with what power actually means to produce the report each year. Leaders are evaluated based on their personal influence, tenure, office, decision-making power, the financial resources at their disposal, their company or organization’s industry significance and geographic reach, and public announcements about pending changes.

After all of that, Bob was the highest ranking MLS executive on the Swanepoel Power 200 list, coming in at number 32. Bob has been on the list every year that it has been published.

The Inman Real Estate Influencers List salutes industry professionals who shape, change and influence the industry. They bring a mix of credentials, viewpoints and backgrounds from all walks of the real estate business. Some are creative, intuitive and gifted. Some have power, reach and charisma. And some are controversial, rabble-rousers and disrupters.

All of our influencers contribute to change in one way or another.

“They are not cut from the same cloth, they do not speak the same language and they do not always necessarily share the same values,” said Inman publisher Brad Inman. “But they influence the industry by their work, through their followers and by expressing their opinions.”

The Inman list was not a ranked list, so it was an honor just to be included on that annual recognition. Bob has been included on the list of the most influential real estate people in the country every year since at least 2005.

Marilyn Eiland and Mark Woodroof, broker-owners of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, also made the Swanepoel Power 200 list, ranked at number 137. Katie Maxwell, vice president of Intero Houston, was also included on the Inman Real Estate Influencers 2017 list. Matthew Morris, CEO of Stewart Information Service, was included on the Inman list as part of the “Outside Powers” category.

Congratulations to everyone who made the lists from the greater Houston area and beyond!
