The Houston Association of REALTORS® is making headlines! Here’s a look at some of the media coverage our organization has received over the past few weeks.

  • CultureMap Houston
  • Examiner Newspapers
  • Houston Agent Magazine

2019 HAR Chair Shannon Cobb Evans was profiled in a two-part “On The Move” feature in the Houston Chronicle written by relocation columnist Michelle Sandlin. The installments, which published on January 6 and 13, were called “HAR’s 2019 chair sees much opportunity in the Houston market,” and included Shannon’s perspectives on what makes the Houston market a desirable destination for those relocating to the region.

Shannon was also spotlighted in a January 9 Houston Business Journal story entitled “Meet the new chair of the Houston Association of Realtors,” by residential real estate reporter Fauzeya Rahman. This piece was more personal in nature, focusing on Shannon’s distinguished real estate career path.

The swearing in of HAR’s 2019 Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Chair Shannon Cobb Evans during REALTOR® Celebration on December 13 was the subject of large spreads in both the Houston Chronicle (published December 30) and Houston Business Journal (published December 26) that featured color photos that HAR provided along with the press release. Coverage included HAR’s honoring of 2018 REALTORS® of the Year Mario Arriaga and Jo Ann Stevens as well as 2018 John E. Wolf Community Service Award recipients Brenda Stardig and Martha Castex-Tatum, both of whom serve as Houston City Council Members as well as REALTORS®. The stories also ran in online editions.

HAR provided Houston Chronicle web producer Rebecca Hennes with MLS data for her online stories about the 10 most expensive home sales in Houston in December (published January 4) and for all of 2018 (published January 7).

These stories and more are available in the HAR Online Newsroom at www.har.com/content/newsroom as well as in HAR Connect.
