HAR Chair Cindy Hamann was spotlighted in a December 7 Inman News feature story headlined “Realtors scale up good deeds in disaster-torn communities this holiday season,” about her long history of charitable work in the community, but especially in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

HAR provided research for Houston Chronicle real estate reporter Nancy Sarnoff for her November 22 feature story about an increase in home rentals in suburban areas of Houston. “Last year, Houstonians rented 30,166 single-family homes, a 14 percent increase over 2012, data from the Houston Association of Realtors show. Through October of this year, renters signed leases on 30,617 homes,” she reported.

HAR’s October Rolling Averages Report was the centerpiece of a November 15 Houston Chronicle story about neighborhood-specific home sales activity. The article, by digital producer Heather Leighton, included quotes from HAR Chair Cindy Hamann about the effects of seasonality.

HAR furnished data to the Houston Business Journal for its profile of the most expensive homes that sold in Houston in October. The article published on November 15 and featured full-color photos of the properties provided by the listing agents/brokerages, which are credited in the report.

Community Impact Newspapers cited HAR data in its November 14 examination of the post-Harvey real estate landscape in the Pearland and Friendswood communities.
