HAR’s December/Full-Year 2013 MLS news release, reporting Houston’s best real estate year on record and the 31st consecutive month of positive sales with further depletion of inventory, generated coverage from mid- to late December in the following media outlets:

Yahoo! Finance and several other online news services reported on February 11 that TAR honored HAR with an Education Program of the Year Award at its annual winter meeting in Austin. TAR also inducted HAR Board members Amy Smythe-Harris and Cindy Hamann and former HAR Board member Courtney Johnson Rose into NAR’s Omega Tau Rho fraternity, which recognizes REALTOR® who have made outstanding contributions to the U.S. real estate industry.

During the week of February 9, the Houston Chronicle and Houston Business Journal published stories regarding various local commercial and industrial real estate projects and cited HAR/Commercial Gateway data contained in our Q4 2013 report, which was released on January 30.

FOX 26 News reporter Isiah Carey aired a story on February 4 about the latest Craigslist real estate scam and how to avoid becoming a victim. He urged that consumers seek reliable property listing information from HAR.com.

On February 4, Inman News reported that HAR.com was the only MLS website to make Experian Marketing Services’ list of Top 20 real estate websites in the U.S. in January. It also noted that visits to real estate websites surged 25 percent from December to January.
