HAR’s MLS Update for March 2011, reporting a continued dip in home sales due to heavy sales activity one year earlier as a result of the home buyer tax credit, generated coverage from mid- to late April in the following media outlets:

HAR Chairman Carlos P. Bujosa discussed how Houston’s strengthening employment picture bodes well for local real estate in a housing industry feature produced by KUHF (Houston Public Radio) reporter Pat Hernandez that aired on April 25.

Houston Real Estate Observer correspondent Ralph Bivins cited data from Commercial Gateway’s second quarter commercial/office market update in his story headlined Believe it or Not—Houston Developers Starting New Office Buildings that was posted on May 3.

REALTOR® AE Magazine named HAR.com Outstanding REALTOR® Association Website (from an association with more than 7,000 members) in the publication’s ninth annual competition. It reported HAR.com’s honors in its Spring 2011 edition.

Multiple media outlets, including RISMedia and Reuters reported on HAR’s selection of zipLogix Digital Ink as a new free service for HAR members seeking to use digital signature technology to manage transactions. The story, which also appeared on a massive electronic ticker in New York City’s Times Square, quoted HAR Chairman Carlos P. Bujosa and HAR President and CEO Bob Hale.
