Governor Rick Perry’s office has announced the appointment of Mario Arriaga to the Real Estate Research Advisory Committee.  Arriaga will serve as a commercial real estate representative.  The Real Estate Research Advisory Committee advises the Texas Real Estate Research Center at Texas A&M University, which conducts real estate related research based on Texans’ needs.

Mario Arriaga of The Woodlands is a real estate broker and co-owner of First Group. He is a board member of the Houston and National associations of REALTORS®, and a board member and regional vice president of the Texas Association of REALTORS®.  Arriaga is also an officer of the Montgomery County Alianza Scholarship Organization and a past board member of the Montgomery County Association of REALTORS®.  He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston.

Arriaga was among three statewide appointees whose terms will expire on Jan. 31, 2017.
