As you can see from the cover of this month’s issue of the magazine, we have an all-new event called “The BIG e” that aims to be unlike any prior HAR event. We will have more than 20 forward-thinking speakers who will share exciting new ideas that you can implement immediately. You may read more about it here or by visiting www.har.com/thebige.

One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is “why doesn’t Tempo work on Macs, iPads, etc.?” There is some important history to consider before arriving at an answer to that question, but we are constantly working with our MLS vendor to try to encourage them to provide a solution as quickly as possible. You may read more about what is coming here.

We also have members who use Android-based mobile devices who have asked about an Android app. Following on the success of the HAR iPhone app, we are proud to let you know that we are currently in the beta testing period for the Android app and expect to launch it as quickly as possible after any suggestions or comments from the testing period have been incorporated. You may read more about it here.

Members are continuing to wonder how to tap the tremendous potential of Facebook for use in their business. HAR listened and developed our own Show My Listing Facebook App. Did you know that you are not supposed to post listings on your Facebook profiles?  Facebook has Business Pages for this purpose so you can now sign up for the app and have your listings automatically sent to your Business Page. You may read about how to set it all up here.

I want to make one last reminder about the NextGen REALTOR® Group (NRG) 20 Under 40 recognition as well. If you know of a fellow REALTOR® 40 years old or younger—or that describes you—please click here to read about how to apply for this outstanding honor. If you speak to any of the recipients from last year, I think they will all tell you how great it was to appear on the cover of the magazine and to be able to promote that they were among this select group.

Until next month, I hope you have a prosperous rest of the summer.
