September is REALTOR® Safety Month, but safety should be a priority throughout the year.
This September, HAR is offering safety education and expert guidance to help members protect themselves, their clients and their businesses.

Safety is Smart Lunch and Learn Series | Begins Sept. 11 at noon HAR’s new series begins with The Awareness Advantage: Safety Practices That Protect You, Your Clients and Your Business. SAFETY TOOLS AND TIPS
Use FOREWARN: HAR MLS subscribers have access to the safety tool FOREWARN to help verify identities and review available public information before meeting a new prospect. Learn more at HAR.com/forewarn.
Share your plans: Tell someone where you are going, whom you are meeting and when you expect to return.
Stay aware: Keep your phone accessible, park where you cannot be blocked in and trust your instincts. If something does not feel right, leave.
Protect your accounts: Use strong, unique passwords and multifactor authentication. Be cautious of unexpected links and requests for sensitive information.
Report safety concerns: If you feel threatened, call 911. Once you are safe, email safety@har.com so HAR can help alert other members when appropriate.
