As I am writing this column, we continue to want for cooler temps and some rain. Hopefully we have both of those as we enter September.

In the meantime, HAR’s staff continues to push toward greater options for our members in this ever-changing mobile landscape. You may read here about all of the current or soon-to-be available products for use on the iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry, as well as different computers utilizing different web browsers.

I also want to encourage you to take advantage of one of our tremendous educational opportunities. HAR offers countless courses and helps train or certify thousands of members. You may see here what courses are coming up soon.

Another great information-packed event is The BIG e coming up on October 13. This is a whole new event that you are not going to want to miss. You will have access to national experts who will engage, educate and evolve business and consumer attitudes. You may read here about how to register now—and I hear the VIP registrations are going fast so don’t wait and miss out.

I’m also so proud of the 2012 Board of Directors and Officers. You may read here who came out on top in each race and who is on your 2012 executive team. Each of them gives so many hours of their time to make this the best Association for the benefit of all members so I hope you will thank them for their service if you have the opportunity to see any of them soon.

Lastly, we have updates to several items on HAR.com, including the Client Experience Rating program, the HAR Android app and the Show My Listings feature on Facebook. You may read about all of these great tools here.

I also can’t let it go unmentioned that September is traditionally REALTOR® safety month so I hope you will take time to recommit to your personal safety. Even one report of a REALTOR® having a crime committed against them is too many. HAR will be offering personal and business safety courses later this year so look for those announcements in upcoming HAR communications.

Thank you for reading the magazine, and I hope you have a prosperous month.
