HAR Chair Kenya Burrell-VanWormer was a guest on the July 9 edition of The Caffeinated Show, a live, on-location women’s podcast discussing the Houston real estate market and the housing industry.

Community Impact Newspaper published a story on July 9 about how home pricing throughout the greater Houston area was largely unaffected by Hurricane Harvey. Citing HAR data, the report quoted HAR Governmental Affairs Advisory Group Chairman Ed Wolff and Dr. Jim Gaines, chief economist with the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.

On July 13, Houston Business Journal web producer Jen Para took online readers on a virtual tour of the 10 most expensive homes sold in June 2018 using data that HAR provided from our MLS. The feature contained a gallery of color photos of the properties courtesy of the listing agents/brokerages cited in the report.

Inman News published a story on July 14 that HAR was among the finalists in its annual Most Innovative MLS, Association of Real Estate Organization awards competition. Winners were to be announced during the Inman Connect San Francisco conference in mid-July.
