  • The unseen result of the 26 billion deal is to SAVE the banks money,  not to help the little man.
    When they accept the paltry $2000 payoff, they relinquish their rights to file suit for large damages and amounts of money.  The ones that get the offers are obviously going to be the ones that are most likely to file a big hairy suit on the banks.  It’s strictly damage control, not an altruistic gesture.  Bankers are not nice guys.
