• Houston Community Newspapers
• KHOU-TV (11 News)

The cross-border partnership agreement that HAR and 12 other Texas REALTOR® associations recently signed with Mexico’s real estate association, AMPI, attracted widespread media attention in September. HAR International Advisory Group Chairman Richard Miranda, who participated in the agreement process, was interviewed by KUHF (Houston Public Radio) and Houston Agent magazine. The story was also covered by the Houston Business Journal, Amarillo Globe-News, El Paso Times and Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
KRIV (Fox 26 News) anchor-reporter Rita Garcia interviewed HAR Chairman-elect Danny Frank for a September 18 story about who has the advantage in the current Houston real estate market: buyer or seller. Danny explained that the market is “neutral,” offering advantages to both parties.

HAR assisted Houston Chronicle special correspondent Allen Jones with his September 18 story about a surge in home buying among international consumers in The Woodlands. The article cited HAR’s survey that found that 39 percent of Houston-area REALTORS® handled international clients.

HAR Chairman Wayne Stroman was profiled for the cover story of Premier Agent Magazine’s October edition headlined “Determination, Innovation and Enterprising Ways.”

HAR assisted Houston Business Journal special correspondent Vickie Ashwill with her October 19 story about a surge in demand for condominiums and townhomes as younger workers flock to Houston.

These stories and more are chronicled in the HAR Online Newsroom at www.har.com/newsroom.
